Join us for Storytime

Foster a love for reading through stories read out loud, singing, and crafting.

Read, sing, and craft

Perfect for children ages 0-5, our weekly storytime sessions will spark creativity and foster a love for reading through stories read out loud, singing, and crafting. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to join in and share the joy of reading with their little ones. Mark your calendars and make storytime at the Livingston Parish Library a delightful weekly tradition!

Benefits of Storytime

Storytimes help foster early literacy skills needed for children to be school-ready! Our storytimes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers focus on developing early literacy skills – those skills necessary in order to begin to learn to read. We have designed our storytimes to reach and teach a multi-age audience from babies to 5-year-olds.

Schedule

Weekly storytimes are held at all Livingston Parish Library branches. Our storytimes feature stories read aloud and can include songs, fingerplays, puppets, and crafts among other activities. Pick your most convenient library branch and come join the fun!
